What matters for a cultural city like Valletta is that there are people who want to make art and experience the art that others make, a shared feeling that it is possible to do new things. Environment and experience are obviously important, and education in general is crucial.
I enjoyed Valletta’s intriguing combination of cultures, Maltese, Italian, Arab and English and welcome VCA’s generous approach to the arts.
