This Christmas, the Valletta Cultural Agency has prepared a special programme for the entire month of December.
Christmas in the Capital features spectacular Christmas lights along the main streets and squares of the Capital, the Christmas tree at Freedom Square, a traditional crib beside Saint John’s Cathedral, artistic traditional Christmas installations, and numerous activities taking place throughout December.
Christmas in the Capital officially opens on Tuesday, 25th November at 5:30 pm with a special ceremony featuring traditional Christmas carols performed by the children’s choir Centrestage, culminating in the switching on of the Christmas lights along the main streets. Afterwards the Christmas tree, already in place, will be illuminated with thousands of bulbs, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The Valletta Cultural Agency warmly invites everyone, especially families with children, to join us for this special event on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
