Talented 19-year-old singer and pianist, Riona will be performing a live set of festive seasonal music as part of Christmas in the Capital.

Currently studying Performing Arts at MCAST, Riona has been immersed in music since the age of four. She moved from choir singing to solo performance while studying voice, piano, and music theory—earning a Grade 6 Distinction in both theory and practice. She hopes to further her studies abroad and pursue a master’s degree in music education.

Riona has already achieved notable success both locally and internationally. She won first place at the Lake Pearls competition in Macedonia (2015) and at L-Għanja Tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ (2018). She has also taken part in Junior Eurovision Malta, KantaMagħna with DCaptials Big Band, and has even performed the Maltese National Anthem live for the President. With her passion and growing accomplishments, Riona is emerging as one of Malta’s most promising young artists.
