The Valletta Cultural Agency proudly presents Kristu Lura fi Strada Stretta, a lent-themed play by Carlos Farrugia and Joseph Galea. Marking its 10th anniversary, this acclaimed production returns to its original setting in Strada Stretta, bringing back its intimate and immersive spirit.

Staged at The Splendid from the 11th to the 19th of April 2025, the play follows a scriptwriter who, during Holy Week in the mid-70s, stops for a beer at a bar in Strada Stretta. What begins as a casual moment quickly takes an unexpected turn, unfolding into a gripping narrative that delves into faith, introspection, and human connection—hallmarks of Farrugia’s and Galea’s storytelling.

This year’s edition brings an added layer of surprise, transforming Valletta’s historic heart into a living stage where past and present blur. As the familiar streets take on new meaning, audiences will find themselves immersed in a performance that is both thought-provoking and deeply evocative.
