The National New Year’s Eve Celebrations will be kicking off tomorrow in Valletta at 8:45pm, promising an unforgettable night of music, entertainment and spectacular fireworks.
St George’s Square will once again become the focal point of Malta’s largest end-of-year celebration, hosting an exciting programme of local and international performers. At the stroke of midnight, the Grand Harbour will light up with the most impressive fireworks display ever presented for the occasion.
The event will be hosted by Ron, Jamie Cardona and Taryn Mamo Cefai, and opens with Glen Vella joined by his band, followed by the Palace String Orchestra, which will bring together some of Malta’s leading artists — Aidan Drakard, Denise, Gaia, Karin Duff, Keith Zammit Mintoff, Klinsmann and Miriana Conte.
As midnight approaches, DJs Denzel Jo Armani and Wayne will energise the crowd with a high-impact mix of 2025’s biggest dance anthems, accompanied by dynamic stage visuals and fireworks, broadcast live on local television. The Midnight Grand Harbour fireworks spectacular will be the largest ever staged for the event, made possible through collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority.
The celebrations will reach their peak at midnight with a special live performance by international star John Newman. Renowned for global hits such as Love Me Again and collaborations with artists including Calvin Harris on Blame, Newman will bring his distinctive soulful vocals and electronic sound to Valletta’s stage.
Local DJ Gabii will end the festivities on a high, bringing the event to a close at 2am. The Valletta Ferry Services will be extended until 1am. An extended special bus service for 16 regular routes and 5 night bus routes will be operating thanks to Malta Public Transport, with select routes operating way beyond 1am. This service is free of charge for Tallinja cardholders and €3 for everyone else.
The Valletta National New Year’s Eve Celebration is organised by G7 Events and is made possible through a Cultural Partnership Agreement entered into with the Valletta Cultural Agency within the Ministry for Culture, Lands and Local Government. This event is also supported by the Malta Tourism Authority.
