The National New Year’s Eve Celebrations return to Valletta for another unforgettable night of music, entertainment, and fireworks. St George’s Square will once again transform into the heart of Malta’s biggest end-of-year event, featuring a stellar lineup of local and international artists, while the Grand Harbour will shine with its most impressive fireworks display yet.
Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency in collaboration with G7 Events, the Ministry for National Heritage, Lands and Local Government, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, the celebrations will be hosted by Jamie Cardona and Taryn Mamo Cefai.
The evening kicks off with local favourite Glen Vella and his band, followed by a performance from the Palace String Orchestra, featuring some of Malta’s leading artists, including Aidan Drakard, Denise, Gaia, Karin Duff, Keith Zammit Mintoff and Klinsmann in a series of timeless classics and unique collaborations.
As the countdown approaches, DJs Denzel Jo Armani and Wayne will set the stage with a high-energy mash-up of 2025’s biggest dance anthems, enhanced by dazzling stage effects and fireworks broadcast live across local TV.
When the clock strikes midnight, the celebrations reach their peak with a special live performance by international star John Newman. Known for his global hit “Love Me Again” and collaborations with dance producers such as Calvin Harris (“Blame”), Newman brings his powerful, soulful voice fused with electronic beats to Valletta’s stage.
The night will come to a close with an upbeat set by DJ Gabii, ensuring the celebrations end on a high.
The Grand Harbour fireworks display will be the biggest one so far thanks to a collaboration with Visit Malta.
